Restoration

Cactus Air Force is possible thanks to the efforts of the countless volunteers that make the restoration of these beautiful aircraft and vehicles happen. Thousands of man hours are required to ensure that each individual piece of each aircraft or vehicle is reassembled and refurbished back to its original military ready status. This process is truly a labor of love and projects often take years to complete.

Salvage craft and vehicles are brought to our facility in Carson City, Nevada and evaluated for structural integrity and scope of work. Often items are received completely disassembled. Pieces are painstakingly removed, cleaned and refurbished.  If refurbishment is not an option, efforts are made to find original replacement parts from many salvage facilities across the country.  It is our goal to reconstruct or refurbish every aircraft and vehicle with 100% original parts.

We hope that our love of these amazing pieces of equipment and our appreciation of their contributions to our nations rich military history are also appreciated by our visitors and supporters.
