M113A2 history
Manufactured in 1968 by the FMC Corporation (Food Machinery Corp) for the U.S. Army as a “Battle Taxi” to carry troops into battle with armor protection. Purchased by the Cactus Air Force in 1996 direct form the U.S. Government in De-Mill condition and restored back to operational condition by the CAF (Current U.S. Govt regulations do now allow this any longer). Currently this vehicle is used for parades and motion picture work.
