Rick Clemens--President

“We honor people that have associated with our proud aviation history.” Rick Clemens

Cactus Air Force founder and President, Rick Clemens appreciates the efforts of the United States Military and feels that preserving military air craft and equipment is an appropriate way to show that respect.  Additionally, Clemens believes that this history should be accessible to the general public in a hands-on environment.  Viewing these amazing pieces of equipment and their stories should be shared with all people and not treated as a mystic.

Rick Clemens signed up for flying lessons when he was 21 years old and has been flying ever since.  His love of aviation and admiration has turned into a lifetime project at Cactus Air Force in Carson City, Nevada.  Clemens has personally spent thousands of man-hours participation in the authentic restorations of these historic vehicles and relishes the interaction with people of similar interests.
