It is our belief that military antiquity should be conserved for children and generations to come. Cactus Air Force strives to refurbish and preserve aviation and military vehicles to their original, glorious condition. Our skilled volunteers take painstaking steps to ensure that all aircraft and vehicles are accurately restored, no small detail is overlooked. Thousands of man hours are required to restore just one aircraft or vehicle.
Cactus Air Force is a privately owned and operated museum that gives visitors the opportunity to not only view history, but experience it in a hands on environment. Our mission is to keep military history alive, visible and accessible to give the public the ability to see equipment up close and in action. Our aircraft and vehicles are available for Air Shows, motion picture and television roles and military demonstrations. Our facility also boasts a fully accredited staff of pilots with hundreds of hours clocked in real, historic military aircraft. We offer warbird training and restoration services for other aviation enthusiasts as well as air combat maneuvering and military vehicle transportation services.

Cactus Air Force was founded on this allure and focuses on preserving aircraft and military vehicles for future generations of aviation and military vehicle buffs.
Cactus Air Force was named after the famed allied air power assigned to Henderson Field on the island of Guadalcanal during World War II. The joint forces joined together at Henderson Field included: United States Marine Corps, United States Army, United States Navy, and the Royal New Zealand Air Force. Following in this tradition of joining military branches and nations, Cactus Air Force in Carson City, NV was founded by Rick Clemens in the early 1970’s, in an effort bring together historic aircraft and vehicles from all branches of service and to preserve this proud military history.
